Dr Arpan K Banerjee Chair ISHRAD and Prof Dr Mats Geijer, local organiser Gothenburg, invite you to attend and participate in the 14th ISHRAD symposium in Gothenburg.
The 14th symposium of the International Society for the History of Radiology will take place on Saturday, October 11 in Gothenburg in Sweden, in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg.
We hope that this meeting, unmissable for all those who are passionate about the history of radiology, will attract many current and new members of the ISHRAD to present and enjoy many well-researched presentations.
The 2025 theme is a continuation of last year’s theme “Pioneers in Radiology worldwide” focusing on the period between the wars: 1918 up to 1940, the so called “Interbellum”.
But presentations on other topics of the history of radiology are also welcome.
You will then have one more month to send your abstract, with the final program being published by the end of June.
We look forward to receiving your submissions and participation in the meeting.

Call for Papers
Main theme: Development of radiology worldwide during the between-wars period
Doctors, physicists, engineers, etc. who developed and refined techniques and equipment in the beginning of the 20th century.
Presentations on other topics of the history of radiology are also welcome.
The topic of the paper needs to be sent to mats.geijer@gu.se before May 31, 2025. The completed form Call for Papers ISHRAD 2025 Gothenburg needs to be sent with the abstract of the paper to mats.geijer@gu.se before June 30, 2025
